On Sunday, Crunchyroll said that a trilogy of films based on the well-liked anime series Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Arc will be produced and distributed worldwide in theatres by means of a collaboration with Sony Pictures Entertainment.
Along with the publication of the official teaser, “On X, Crunchyroll announced with excitement the upcoming theatrical release of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle as an epic trilogy.”
The movies’ worldwide distribution rights—aside from Japan and a few other Asian nations—have been acquired by Crunchyroll.
Official confirmation of the confirmation was made on Sunday following the Season 4 finale, which delves into the Hashira Training Arc.
The Infinity Castle Arc of Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga follows Tanjiro, the Demon Slayer Corps, and the seven Hashira as they become embroiled in combat in the demon king Muzan’s lair. The arc features multiple encounters with the strongest demons in the universe, the Upper Rank demons.
Demon Slayer, which is set in the Taisho period of Japan, is the story of Tanjiro Kamado, who returns home to find his family dead and his sister Nezuko turned into a demon. Tanjiro joins the Demon Slayer Corps, driven by his desire for retribution and the desire to heal his sister. He refines his swordsmanship by rigorous training.
The Fate Heaven’s Feel, the film trilogy from The Fate/Stay Night anime series, was created by Ufotable, who is best known for Demon Slayer.
Four anime film adaptations have already been released; the most current one came out before the fourth season debuted on May 12. In 2020, the movie version of Demon Slayer’s Mugen Train Arc broke all previous records and became the highest-grossing anime film ever.
